Really neat peak at what THE combat automatic looked like in the early 1990’s. Jeff Cooper, Gunsite Academy taught that gun needed sights you could see, a trigger you could manage, accuracy enough to do the job, and perfect reliability. From this, and countless hours/rounds on the range, the Gunsite Service Pistol was born. This GSP is super unique in that it was built on a Stainless Steel base gun, finished in BlackT. It also has a shop-made Gunsite Low thumb safety, not to mention the Gunsite Slimline conversion. Gunsite was the first firm to really look at ways to better conceal a govt model sized 1911, one thing done was the development of what Ted Yost, and myself believe to be the first Slim Grips, these grips when paired with a slimmed down grip frame create a super slim package. This gun remains in good condition, with some handling/holster wear in the finish. Gun has one Raven marked mag, and has been upgraded with a match barrel bushing at some point, original #’d barrel bushing is included!
